Food Allergies and Autism
Teaching a child with autism to interact with the world is already a challenge, but giving them restraints from what they can or cannot eat is hard for any child, autistic or not.
Six-year-old Kirby, who was diagnosed with high functioning autism also has the extra obstacle of being allergic to peanuts, eggs and shellfish. Watch as Kirby attends therapy and is taught to identify what is safe and not safe to eat. Way to go Kirby, we’re proud of you!
